🌸 Thoughts, Words, and the Power of Perception

Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, post #4

As you think, so you are. As you are, so you act. As you act, so you attain.”
James Allen

“All that we achieve or fail to achieve is the result of our own thoughts.”
—James Allen

“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”
Rumi

“When you cannot control what is happening, challenge yourself to control

how you respond to it. There lies your power.”Viktor Frankl

🧠 “As You Think, So You Are”

The quote “As you think, so you are. As you are, so you act. As you act, so you

attain” packs a powerful punch.

If you want to achieve something, you must see yourself as already having

attained it—now. Not in a few weeks, not someday in the future, but right here,

in this moment. Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between

what is real and what is vividly imagined.

So why not visualize success?
Why not feed your mind thoughts of completion, fulfillment, and confidence?

💭 Negative thinking is mental baggage—it makes the journey heavier

than it needs to be.

💬 Rumi’s Wisdom: Speak with Grace

I absolutely love Rumi’s work, and this quote is one of my favorites:

“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”

To me, this speaks to the quiet strength of inner confidence. A more enlightened

person is secure in their beliefs and doesn’t feel the need to dominate a

conversation or force their views onto others.

How many times have I caught myself raising my voice in a moment of

frustration— trying to make someone understand my perspective?
And how often did I pause to ask: Could my perspective be flawed, or incomplete?

✨ Truth Doesn’t Shout

In reality, a person who is truly confident—and not driven by ego—has no need

to raise their voice. The truth speaks loudly enough on its own.

🌧️ Thunder may be loud, but it’s the rain that helps things grow.

Final Thought

Only you can improve yourself.
These words from my mom’s journal, and the timeless wisdom of these quotes,

remind me: our thoughts shape our lives, our tone shapes our impact, and

our responses shape our power.

Until next time, keep shining, loving & living your best life!

🌸Wishing you Love, Light & Sparkles!

🌸 Carrie

🌸Mom's Journals, entry #1

My dad recently found two journals that belonged to my mother and gifted them to me—what a treasure!  S he often wrote positive messages and quotes on index cards and placed them strategically throughout the house. I never knew, until today, that she also kept journals filled with these quotes and messages. I've decided to share the wonderful and inspiring entries from her journals with you. I hope you enjoy reading them and that they bring you inspiration or teach you something new. I'll be posting one page at a time, so I hope you'll keep checking back for more.
