🌸 Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, Post #11
The women whom I love and admire for their strength and grace did not get that way because shit worked out. They got that way because shit went wrong, and they handled it. They handled it in a thousand different ways on a thousand different days, but they handled it. Those women are my superheroes. - Elizabeth Gilbert
That quote is a powerful tribute to resilience and unwavering strength.
The women being celebrated here didn’t become strong, graceful, or admirable because life was easy or everything went according to plan. They faced hardship, heartbreak, chaos, drama, and struggle—and they handled it. Not perfectly, not the same way every time, but they showed up, adapted, kept going, and found a way through.
We should all learn to honor the quiet, everyday heroism of women who survive and thrive despite pain, loss, injustice, and challenge—women who often go unnoticed by the crowd. They’re not walking the red carpet; they’re cleaning the floors, working in the yard, doing the laundry, and tending to sick children.
Strength isn't about having an easy life—it’s about growing through the hard parts.
And the ones who do that with grace? Those women are my superheroes.
💋✨Until next time, keep shining, loving & living your best life!
Wishing you Love, Light & Sparkles!
🌸 Carrie
