🫧🧖🏻‍♀️🧚🏻‍♂️🪄Smudging... Do or do not?

🫧🧖🏻‍♀️🧚🏻‍♂️🪄 Some soulful Sparkles...

I adore smudging—aka the ancient (and slightly witchy) art of setting bundles of herbs and good-smelling stuff on fire. My house instantly smells ooooh-so-delicious, like a mystical bakery had a baby with an apothecary. Sure, it gets a little smoky, but I crack a window, wave my hands around dramatically, and suddenly I feel cleaner—inside and out.

Now, is that smoke really bad energy packing its bags and fleeing the scene? Or is it just a bunch of molecules getting busy in a chemical reaction? Honestly, I think it all comes down to intention.

True story: once upon a very long few months, I had someone stay with me who brought all the bad mojo. I’m talking dark cloud over my house, my life, and even my Netflix recommendations. When she finally left, I grabbed some sage and struck a match. And let me tell you—this wasn’t a delicate little wisp of smoke. Nope. That sage went full-on bonfire mode. Big, swooshing, holy-crap flames leaping up like they were auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.

Slightly terrified, I flung open every window and declared (with all the authority of a fed-up high priestess), “If this is evil, you better get your nasty little ass outta here right now!” And I swear… the air shifted. The energy felt lighter. That was the day I thought, hmm… maybe there’s more to this sage thing than just incense-with-attitude.

So, smudging: do it, don’t do it, or just sit around pondering with your sage bundle in hand? As the wise and wrinkly Yoda once said: “Do. Or do not. There is no try.”

💋✨Until next time... keep loving & living your best life!

🦋Wishing you Love, Light & Sparkles!

🌸 Carrie

🌸Mom's Journals, entry #1

My dad recently found two journals that belonged to my mother and gifted them to me—what a treasure!  S he often wrote positive messages and quotes on index cards and placed them strategically throughout the house. I never knew, until today, that she also kept journals filled with these quotes and messages. I've decided to share the wonderful and inspiring entries from her journals with you. I hope you enjoy reading them and that they bring you inspiration or teach you something new. I'll be posting one page at a time, so I hope you'll keep checking back for more.
