✨ Stop Shrinking to Fit Places You’ve Outgrown

✨ 🌸 “Stop shrinking to fit places you have outgrown.” — Furaha Joyce

Well, bless our hearts, ain’t that the truth? If I had a dollar for every time I tried to squeeze myself back into some old version of my life —

whether it was a job, a friendship, a pair of jeans, or a dream that no longer sparkled — I’d have enough to buy front-row seats to the Grand Ole Opry and

a lifetime supply of sweet tea.  Don't you pretend you don’t remember trying to get into those absolutely fabulous jeans you can’t get on anymore without

pulling up the zipper 80’s style, aka metal hanger in the zipper, suck in and pull hard!  Here’s the deal, sugar: growth ain’t always glamorous. Sometimes

it feels like you’re shedding skin, losing people, and outgrowing spaces faster than a teenager outgrows their britches. But that’s not failure — that’s evolution.

See, we get real good at dimming ourselves to make others comfortable. We lower our voice, dull our shine, pretend we don’t know what we know —

all to fit into rooms we’ve clearly outgrown. But honey, you weren’t made to live in someone else’s idea of “just enough.” You were made to expand, to sparkle,

to take up space like a chandelier in a trailer park. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do for yourself is pack your glitter, grab your peace, and strut right

out the door that no longer fits your frame. Because trying to shrink yourself to stay somewhere you’ve outgrown is like cramming a tiara into a tackle box — it just ain’t meant to be there.

So next time you feel yourself folding up to fit, pause and remember:
✨ You didn’t come this far to stay small.
✨ You didn’t fight for your sparkle just to hide it under someone else’s shadow.
✨ And you sure as sugar didn’t grow your wings to sit in a cage of “used to be.”

Unfold, darling. Stretch. Take up all the space you need. The world doesn’t need a quieter version of you — it needs the whole, unapologetic, rhinestone-bedazzled masterpiece.

Now go on and shine so bright they’ve gotta squint to see you. 🌟

Life’s too short to contort yourself into a tiny version of who you used to be. Outgrow loudly. Outgrow sparkly. Outgrow with sequins if you have to.

🌸Mom's Journals, entry #1

My dad recently found two journals that belonged to my mother and gifted them to me—what a treasure!  S he often wrote positive messages and quotes on index cards and placed them strategically throughout the house. I never knew, until today, that she also kept journals filled with these quotes and messages. I've decided to share the wonderful and inspiring entries from her journals with you. I hope you enjoy reading them and that they bring you inspiration or teach you something new. I'll be posting one page at a time, so I hope you'll keep checking back for more. Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, post #2 “There is no dollar sign on peace of mind.”   - Elin Hilderbrand  "The punishment of every disordered mind is its own disorder."   - St. Augustine                                                                      "Happiness is a choice. Peace is a state of mind. Both are free.”   - Amy Leigh Mercree "We never get what we want — we get what we are.   - Doran Cooks They’re all great quotes! I especially like number three: "Happiness is a choice. Peace is a state of mind. Both are free." So oft en, I find myself thinking, "I would be happy if only XYZ would happen," or "If I could just acquire XYZ...
