🌸 Mom's Journals, entry #6

🌸 Thoughts on Light, Wisdom, and Flying Higher Reflections from My Mom’s Journals , post #6 "Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open?" — Rumi "Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself." — Rumi   "You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?" — Rumi  "Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder."   — Rumi "The lamps are different, but the light is the same." — Rumi "There is a fountain inside you. Don’t walk around with an empty bucket." — Rumi "When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be." — Lao Tzu "Never discuss winning with losers. It's not their language." — (Widely attributed to Megan McCabe )                      ________________________________________________ “The lamps are different, but the light is the same.” I absolutely love that quote from Rumi. 🔥 Fan the Flames Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, post #5 “Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.” — Rumi I love this quote! And I love the little doodles in my mom’s journals , too. She was so creative, so artistic, and so full of joy. I miss her more than words can ever express. What I wouldn’t give for just one more day with her—sitting beside me in her physical form, or as she so playfully called it, her “ earth suit .” ✨ A Small Quote with Mighty Meaning I’m learning how to truly live out the wisdom packed into this small but powerful quote: “Seek those who fan your flames.” Why did I spend so much time with people who only wanted to dim my light—much less fan it? 💡 Choose the Right People Life is short. So incredibly precious. There’s no time to waste on people who don’t support your passion, your purpose, or your joy. 🔥 There’s no space for “ flame-blowers ” when you were born to burn bright. So light that sucker up—and keep it on high! ❤️ In Memory ...

🌸 Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, Post #14 🌸 Thoughts, Words, and the Power of Perception Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, post #4 “ As you think, so you are. As you are, so you act. As you act, so you attain .” — James Allen “All that we achieve or fail to achieve is the result of our own thoughts.” —James Allen “Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.” — Rumi “When you cannot control what is happening, challenge yourself to control how you respond to it. There lies your power.” — Viktor Frankl 🧠 “As You Think, So You Are” The quote “As you think, so you are. As you are, so you act. As you act, so you attain” packs a powerful punch. If you want to achieve something, you must see yourself as already having attained it—now . Not in a few weeks, not someday in the future, but right here, in this moment. Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what is real and what is vividly imagined. So why not visualize success? ...

🌸 Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, post #3 🧠 "People Do Not Attract What They Want, But Who They Are" “ Circumstances don’t shape us so much as they reveal us. ”    - James Allen Life doesn't shape you—it shows you who you are. In tough times, we often think life is doing something to us . But in truth, it's revealing something within us. Whether it's our mindset , values , relationships, or habits—life holds up a mirror.   In my own life, especially during the darkest times, I’ve discovered the true character of those I chose to surround myself with and call friends. Surprisingly—or perhaps not—after each difficult season, my circle has grown smaller. 💡 Mindset First, Change Second "You cannot change your surroundings while continuing to think the same way that brought you here."     So many of us dream of a different life—more peace, better health, stronger relationships. But we don’t realize that we carry the same mental baggage into eve...

🌸Mom's Journals, entry #2

Reflections from My Mom’s Journals, post #2 “There is no dollar sign on peace of mind.”   - Elin Hilderbrand  "The punishment of every disordered mind is its own disorder."   - St. Augustine                                                                      "Happiness is a choice. Peace is a state of mind. Both are free.”   - Amy Leigh Mercree "We never get what we want — we get what we are.   - Doran Cooks They’re all great quotes! I especially like number three: "Happiness is a choice. Peace is a state of mind. Both are free." So oft en, I find myself thinking, "I would be happy if only XYZ would happen," or "If I could just acquire XYZ...

🌸Mom's Journals, entry #1

My dad recently found two journals that belonged to my mother and gifted them to me—what a treasure!  S he often wrote positive messages and quotes on index cards and placed them strategically throughout the house. I never knew, until today, that she also kept journals filled with these quotes and messages. I've decided to share the wonderful and inspiring entries from her journals with you. I hope you enjoy reading them and that they bring you inspiration or teach you something new. I'll be posting one page at a time, so I hope you'll keep checking back for more. Wishing you Love, Light & Sparkles, 🌸 Carrie “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough…”  - Albert Einstein “ The difference between genius and stupidity is - genius has limits ” “Don’t cry because it’s over - Smile because it happened.” - Dr. Seuss “ Don't waste your time on explanations - people only hear what they want to ” “ T T F N - Ta ta for now ”  - Tigger “The tyrant wi...
